EAST Hong Kong X Little Sweetness: Sweet Potato Chocolate Brownies Bites

Traditional brownies are made with loads of sugar and butter. In this recipe, we used different low-GI ingredients to replace the high-GI ones, while the brownies taste just as good as before. Sweet potato is our favourite ingredient to use in many dessert recipes because it gives both sweetness and moisture to the dish, also introduces more dietary fibre to the dessert.

We learnt how to make the brownies from Grassroots Pantry in Central, which is a fabulous restaurant serving all plant-based food. We are glad that Chef Peggy offered us the opportunity to learn in her kitchen. When the food is both healthy and tasty, what more can you ask for? Do pay a visit and try their food out!
